David is a genius. Born deformed, but gifted with an incredible intellect, he only wants to help humanity. Tolerance, however, is a trait that society has little of. Persecuted for being different, his life is full of pain and anguish.

Sally is strong. With her beauty and willingness to see David's inner goodness, the two youngsters soon fall in love. All is wonderful in life, until disaster strikes.

A change is coming, and with his new found hatred for the human race, David plots a revenge that will be felt by all who walk the earth. His wrath is as calculated as it is vehement.

With the end nigh, it seems that David and Sally's love for each other will either destroy or save humanity.

I wanted to like this but was disappointed. I think the author could have made a good novel but his writing is rather bad. It's not that there are so many grammar problems (as some other reviewers on the amazon.uk site has pointed out). It's that there is too much clumsily worded, redundant garbled narrative. The writer is too verbose and descriptive in some areas disrupting the rhythm (such as action scenes) while giving too little description in others opting for adjectives instead of painting a picture with words. There are also places where the story is too unbelievable and silly.

But the story is somewhat interesting about a boy who has a large head (about 15% larger than average and which the author calls a deformity but why he considers a head only 15% larger such is a mystery). The boy has super intelligence and is bullied by his parents and classmates. He meets the love of his life but looses her and thus he changes (almost inexplicably sudden) to a person who tries to kill off the human race. I also wish the author could have researched a little more about biology and given a more realistic account of how he plans to carry out the extermination.

Uninvited Messiah eBook Boo Beckett Reviews

If you're not a grammar/language nerd, welcome to a fascinating story line! Overall, the writing is not great, kind of juvenile with lots of repetitious words, phrases, etc. and mistakes. However. Having said that, I was so caught up in the plot that I just determined to overlook this as best I could. I The ending was a bit weak and anti-climactic but it was still a thought-provoking read.
This really is an extremely intelligent and gripping book. I would describe it as a psychological romantic thriller. The plot is very original and the main character, David, is one of the most enigmatic and fascinating I have ever come across. There are plenty of twists and turns throughout and it only all fits into place on the very last page. Its real strength, however, is the unique love story. Instead of having the usual ‘man saves woman’ narrative, it takes an excellent approach of the two protagonists equally exposing each other’s weaknesses and drawing upon their strengths. You will adore Sally. She makes the book. I have noticed that some people have commented on the grammar not being good, but it is written by someone who is British so their way of spelling words is different. Don’t let this affect the enjoyment you will derive from this book. Finally, if you like stories that keep you thinking and leave you clueless as to how they will unfold this is the book for you. The last five words sum it all up.
